The leading role in the education of students belongs to the teaching staff of the university. In the system of educational activities at the faculty, great importance is given to the institution of curators (attached teachers) who work with students of 1-2 courses. The curators include the most experienced teachers of theoretical and clinical departments, whose activities are aimed at shaping students’ motivation for learning, creating a corporate student culture, developing students’ creative potential and initiative. Curators help to form personal and communicative competencies of students, adapt to the new system of education, including in the context of the introduction of a point-rating system for assessing students’ educational achievements.

Students of the Faculty of Pediatrics enthusiastically participate in cultural events (“Freshman’s Day”, “White Coat Holiday”, “Stars of USMU”, “Science Day”, professional competition “I am a Doctor”, “Open Doors Day”, etc.) , are engaged in numerous creative groups (choir, theater studio, dance group, KVN, etc.), take part in sports events.9

Great importance is given to the development of the volunteer movement. Students of the Faculty of Pediatrics are actively involved in organizing and conducting a number of events (“Let’s help together”, “Do good, expanding the scale”, “Health lessons”, “Donor Day”, “PRO-healthy choice”, etc.), in the work of the Council of Veterans USMU.
